Wordfeud Solver

Rack, blanks, board letters: feed them in and this Wordfeud helper prices every play with the real Wordfeud tile chart. Highest scorer on top, ready to play.

What is a Wordfeud solver?

A Wordfeud solver turns the letters on your rack into a ranked list of playable words. Every result is priced with Wordfeud’s own tile chart, so the top word is genuinely the top word. Add a board letter and the list shrinks to plays that build on it.

It is also a fast word maker from letters. Three honest uses: unstick an ugly rack mid-game, learn short words when the board is closed, or replay a finished game to see exactly which 40-point play you overlooked.

Rack solver

Seven tiles in, every valid word out, sorted by points.

Blank tiles

Type ? for each blank and see which letter it becomes.

Board letters

Force a word to use a letter already placed, like A-R-T-S.

Dictionary match

Choose US or International English to match your game.

How to use the Wordfeud helper

  1. Type your rack. Enter up to seven letters in any order. Use ? for each blank tile.
  2. Add board letters if you have a spot in mind. A word that must run through an E on the board is found by entering E in the board field, which also reveals hooks and extensions you would not see from the rack alone.
  3. Pick the dictionary your game uses. Most rejected-word complaints come from a US versus international mismatch.
  4. Sort and compare. Highest score comes first, but also look at longer words and at what you keep on your rack.
  5. Check the board before you play. Confirm the word fits the space, lands on the premium square you want, and that every crossing word is valid.

Need a fixed shape? The word generator by pattern handles gaps like S_A_E, and combine word generator joins fragments into whole words.

Wordfeud tile values and distribution

Wordfeud has 104 tiles including 2 blanks. Several values differ from Scrabble, which is why a generic solver can rank words wrongly. Tile points, with the number of copies in the bag:

A 1×10
B 4×2
C 4×2
D 2×5
E 1×12
F 4×2
G 3×3
H 4×3
I 1×9
J 10×1
K 5×1
L 1×4
M 3×2
N 1×6
O 1×7
P 4×2
Q 10×1
R 1×6
S 1×5
T 1×7
U 2×4
V 4×2
W 4×2
X 8×1
Y 4×2
Z 10×1
? 0×2

Ten points a piece for J, Q and Z; X gets 8. One of those on a letter bonus outscores a longer plain word without breaking a sweat. Late in a game, knowing the unseen tiles is where quiet money is made.

Wordfeud board, bonus squares and scoring

Fifteen by fifteen, a star in the middle for the opening word. Four bonus types multiply results, and here is the twist: Wordfeud offers a standard board or a random board with shuffled premiums. On the random one, memorisation is useless; every layout demands a fresh read.

Wordfeud vs Scrabble vs Words with Friends

Same 15×15 grid in all three, same furniture, yet the numbers underneath disagree: tile values, bonus placement, bingo pays. The play that shines in one game often underperforms in another, which is exactly why a Wordfeud-specific ranking exists. On the other two boards, use the Scrabble word finder or the Words with Friends word finder.

Which dictionary does Wordfeud use?

Wordfeud English games use either a US English list or an International English list, set per game. International lists are larger and accept words that the US list rejects, and the reverse is rare. If the app refuses a word the solver showed, change the solver's dictionary to match the game and search again. Always trust the app for the final ruling.

Wordfeud strategy: 8 ways to score more

1. Score first, length second

Five letters shouting on a triple-word square beats seven polite letters on a quiet row, most games. Length flatters; points decide.

2. Learn the short power words

Two tiles, one play, big money: QI, ZA, XI, XU and JO: two tiles, one heavy letter, one bonus square, instant profit. International lists accept a few more of these than US, so check before the challenge. Sourcing tool: the words with a letter finder.

3. Keep a balanced rack

Keep vowels and consonants talking to each other. Three vowels dumped for 12 points feels clever until next turn’s rack refuses to cooperate.

4. Play parallel

Parallel play: drop a short word down the side of an existing one and every cross ticks a second time. The board field exists to hunt exactly these.

5. Don't open a triple word

A 30-point play that gives your opponent a 70-point reply is a loss. Check what your word exposes.

6. Use affixes

A board word plus -ER, -ED, -ING or -S is cheap points, and hooking beats rebuilding every time. Lists: words that end in and words that start with.

7. Save the blank

A blank is worth more as a bingo enabler (+40) than as a stopgap for a 15-point play.

8. Know when to swap

A clogged rack (five vowels, doubles) justifies a swap that a weak 8-point play never does. Confirm with the solver first; sometimes the good word hides.

Wordfeud helper or Wordfeud cheat?

The tool is identical; the difference is when you use it. As a helper it trains your vocabulary, settles a word dispute and shows what you missed after a game. As a cheat in a live match, it only feels fair if your opponent knows. Many players agree on one rule up front, or use the solver only to review finished games. Our dedicated Wordfeud cheat page covers quick lookups when you are stuck mid-game.

Independent tool. Not affiliated with Wordfeud or its developer. Suggested words are checked against the chosen dictionary, but the app always has the final say.

Wordfeud solver FAQ

What is a Wordfeud solver?

Rack in, board letters optional, out comes every valid word priced by Wordfeud’s own tile chart.

Is a Wordfeud helper the same as a Wordfeud cheat?

One tool, two names. Helper is practice, learning, or the after-game review where you find the play you missed. Cheat is running it live against someone who never agreed, and that is a conversation, not a setting.

How many points is a bingo?

Using all seven rack tiles in one move earns a 40-point bonus.

How do I enter a blank tile?

A ? stands for any letter in existence and scores exactly nothing; the flexibility is the whole purchase.

Which dictionary does Wordfeud use for English?

Two flavours exist, US English and International English, chosen per game. The solver needs the same setting you play with.

Why did Wordfeud reject a suggested word?

Nine times out of ten it is the dictionary mismatch. Point the solver at your game’s list and ask again.

Is the board the same every game?

Never twice the same: standard exists, but the random board shuffles its premium squares every layout, so yesterday’s hot corner may be today’s dead end.

Is this site affiliated with Wordfeud?

No affiliation: an independent tool, made private by the app wherever the app disagrees.
