4 Pics 1 Word Answers
Tiles and box count in, shortlist of fitting words out. Alongside it: a method for finding what four pictures share, so you finish the level yourself when you want to, or just take the answer when you do not.

Nearly everyone fails the same way: one picture grabs the eye and refuses to let go. The order below avoids that trap, and it transfers to the daily and bonus puzzles just the same.
- Name each picture twiceWrite what you see, then what it suggests: an action, a place, a feeling. A runner says RUN out loud, and whispers FAST, RACE and maybe SPEED.
- Find the overlapOverlap excepted even when three pictures agree; the fourth has a veto, and it uses it.
- Test it against the tilesBoxes counted, letters audited, doubles triple-checked. APPLE without its second P has fooled thousands.
- Confirm with the solverTiles and length in. The shortlist usually contains exactly one word that shakes hands with all four pictures at once.
The six ways four pictures connect
When a puzzle will not budge, decide which kind it is. Each type needs a different kind of thinking.
| Connection | What it looks like | Example | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Same category | Four examples of one thing | Lion, tiger, panther, lynx → CAT | Say the group name, not the items. |
| Same action | Four scenes of one verb | Kettle, stadium crowd, pot, dough → RISE or BOIL | Describe what is happening in each. |
| Many meanings | Images look unrelated | Bird, building machine, neck stretch → CRANE | Look for a word with several senses. |
| Shared quality | Colour, texture, feeling | Ice, snowman, shiver, thermometer → COLD | Ask what all four have in common. |
| Word partner | Each picture pairs with the answer | Fire truck, fire place, fire alarm, bonfire → FIRE | Add the word before or after each image. |
| Part or place | Things found in or on one thing | Keys, screen, mouse, cable → COMPUTER | Ask where all four belong. |
Answers by length, with worked examples
Count your boxes first. Length cuts the options faster than any picture. These original examples show how the thinking changes as answers get longer.

What the tiles quietly tell you
Tile math helps more than people expect. Few vowels in a long answer suggests clusters such as STR or CH; a doubled tile often means a double letter; common endings such as ING, ED, ER and LY sit on tiles you can put aside first, and the pictures lose half their grip once you count the vowels.
Use hints in the right order
Delete the unused tiles before anything else; the picture part of the puzzle stays intact. Single-letter reveal comes after that. Coins arrive through puzzles and daily challenges, so spending them on day one costs double by day ten.
The same skill carries to other letter puzzles: try anagram solver, jumble solver, word descrambler, Text Twist solver, Wordscapes cheat or Word Cookies answers.
Daily puzzle and bonus puzzle help
The Daily Challenge gives you one puzzle a day and a bonus puzzle for extra coins and stickers. Streaks pay for consistency, which is why a stuck day is worth solving and not skipping. Same tiles as a normal level either way: paste, shortlist, match to the four pictures. Streak lived on.
New here? 4 Pics 1 Word is a picture puzzle from LOTUM, free on iPhone and Android. Each level gives four images, a row of boxes and a bank of tiles. No timer, and most levels play offline.

4 Pics 1 Word questions
How do I find a 4 Pics 1 Word answer?
Enter every letter tile and the number of answer boxes into the solver. It lists words that fit; you choose the one that connects all four pictures.
Where are the daily puzzle and bonus puzzle answers?
Same tiles, same trick: scroll to the Daily Challenge block above, paste, shortlist, done. Daily and bonus both use it.
Does the answer have to use every letter?
No, and this fools everyone once: spare tiles ride along as decoys. Spell your answer from the bank, never reuse a tile past its count.
Why does a word fit the letters but feel wrong?
One letter set births dozens of words, and most of them are wrong. The true answer covers all four images; three out of four is a tease.
Can the answer be a phrase or two words?
Single words only, but some of them behave like compound ideas: one word that pairs naturally with each of the four pictures.
Is the solver free?
Free, no sign-up, no gates. You will spend more time on the puzzle than on this page.
How do I get free coins?
Coins come from solved puzzles and finished dailies. Removing dead tiles or peeking at one letter is where they belong, and only when a puzzle has genuinely pinned you.
Can I use this for other word games?
Letters-in, words-out travels well: Wordscapes, Word Cookies, Text Twist, any anagram-flavoured puzzle you can name.
